Paris in the rain

We walked through Paris in the rain on Saturday. We saw the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triumph by day and by night. We took pictures from the top of both.

We also saw Notre Dame cathedral.

We even walked by the Moulin Rouge. The neighborhood was quite interesting. We did find a really good pastry shop on the way back to the Metro where we tried everything from strawberry tartes to chocolate filled eclairs to some sort of rolled vanilla cake that Kelsey said was "so good" she couldn't believe it.

In the afternoon, Rachel and I went to the Musee D'Orsy and saw some fabulous works of art by Monet, Manet, Degas, Van Gogh, Gaugin, Touolouse-Lautrec and more. Unfortunately, we could not take any photos inside the museum. The museum has many rooms, and every time we turned a corner we said "Oh, wow!" We could not believe how many paintings we got to see. It was definitely a highlight of the trip for me.

Today (Sunday) we take the Chunnel to London. It will take us less than three hours to get to the other side.
