Florence to Paris

We spent Thursday in Florence, Italy, which was quite beautiful. First we went to the Duomo (the Cathedral) and enjoyed the beauty of the outside and the inside of this cathedral.

 

 

Florence is also famous for its leather market. Several jackets, boots, belts, bags, and gloves were purchased here. Some students got really good at bargaining for lower prices.

We saw several beautiful bridges, including the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, which is lined with jewelry stores from end to end.

Today (Friday) we arrived in Paris after another overnight train adventure. We are thankful to be finished with overnight train rides.

We visited the Louvre museum today, walked along the Rue de Rivoli and had a relaxing dinner. Here are a few highlights from the museum:
